RUBYSGIRLS,founded by WaGenia Portier(left),also known by her performing name,Yhai Geña is an American Singer,Songwriter,Author,Model,Actress and Philanthropist. She began RubysGirls to promote awareness of self confidence and mentorship that is needed amongst orphans and children who have been abandoned and to provide them with necessities and skills for everyday life. She and her 2 younger siblings,Sheena Johnson(Center) and Dominique Johnson(Right) wanted to pass on the very "ESSENCE" of the Word "RUBY",their mother and her loving,caring and giving spirit. RubysGirls strive to meet the everyday needs and longterm goals of young girls between the age of infant to 21. This Outreach program is designed to bring self awareness to guide,to assist young girls and women,also young men during these difficult times.
